Net Zero Is a Deployment Problem, Not a Technology Problem

Reaching net zero is often framed as a technology problem, but the technologies mostly exist. The real work is deployment – building solar and wind at scale, electrifying transport and heat, and rewiring grids to handle it all. Execution, not invention, is the bottleneck.

That shifts the emphasis to permitting, supply chains, finance, and skilled labor. A wind farm delayed three years by paperwork is as much a climate problem as any missing breakthrough.

The countries that decarbonize fastest will be those that treat net zero as a delivery challenge and organize accordingly.
